Project objective: To create for Save the Children a whiteboard animation presenting the ILET package in 2019, including the 5-step process designed to foster data-driven decision-making and sustainable change. The video should also rigorously include the Save the Children branding (logo, typefaces, colours) and use similar drawings to the ones in the publication.
About the ILET initiative: The Improving Learning Environments Together in Emergencies (ILET) is a comprehensive toolkit developed by Save the Children Norway to enhance education quality in humanitarian crises through active community involvement. Launched as part of Save the Children’s broader efforts in Education in Emergencies (EiE), ILET operationalizes the organization’s Quality Learning Framework (QLF) by transforming its five core foundations—emotional and psychosocial protection, physical protection, teaching and learning, parents and community engagement, and school leadership and management—into practical, measurable assessments. These assessments gather input from children, teachers, parents, and caregivers to identify gaps and prioritize improvements in learning spaces, such as schools or temporary learning centers. It begins with community-led data collection using user-friendly tools, including mobile apps and paper-based forms for real-time analysis and visualization on a web platform. This empowers local stakeholders to develop and implement School Improvement Plans, addressing issues like unsafe facilities, lack of water, or inadequate psychosocial support. By emphasizing transparency and ownership, ILET builds accountability and encourages local solutions, turning data into actionable advocacy for better education rights.
About Save the Children: Established in the United Kingdom in 1919, Save the Children is an international non-governmental organization that promotes children’s rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries. In addition to the UK organisation, there are 29 other national Save the Children organisations who are members of the Save the Children Alliance, a global network of nonprofit organisations supporting local partners and Save the Children International in over 120 countries around the world.
