Here is a new type of project that I have been working on: a video to present professional codevelopment and the services that Cofab has to offer (see my Cofab logo design post for more information about Cofab and their activity). This type of video using accelerated hand drawing on a white board has become more and more popular over the last couple of years. In order to reduce the production costs (video camera, lights, white board, staff time, etc.), I suggested using a different technique: I draw directly on my computer screen using a white background and record the screen. Cofab wrote the script of the video according to what and how they wanted to communicate their work to their audience (mostly senior management within businesses). After a few sketches to define the style, Cofab decided to go with “stick characters” for a clean look and feel and we agreed on how the text would be illustrated. I finally did the recording, the editing, accelerated for speed drawing rendering and synchronized the image with the voice recorded by professional singer and voice actress Katia Goldmann.
