Project objective: To create for SGS a 3-minute video presenting how SGS is responding to the most critical issues of our times: climate change. The video should present SGS expertise in climate change mitigation and commitments towards energy efficiency and carbon neutrality. It should involve the SGS sustainability mascot Lëss the bear (Do more with Lëss), as usual, and is designed to be published on Youtube and showed at the Pavillon “commerce et climat” during the COP21 (Grand Palais, Paris) in December 2015.
About SGS: SGS is the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. They are recognized as the global benchmark for quality and integrity. With more than 80,000 employees, they operate a network of more than 1,650 offices and laboratories around the world. More information about SGS sustainability initiatives is available in the 2014 sustainability report.
Video making process: Sustainability consultant Sarah Brooks led the script writing with the contribution of CSR consultant Nicky Amos. Once the video script was finalized and approved, I sketched illustrations organizing the video in 4 scenes and put them all in a storyboard for review and feedback. Once the drawings approved, I recorded them in video as usual, drawing on my screen while recording it as a movie. All the footage was then edited in Final Cut Pro X, accelerated and synchronized with the narration (recorded by professional voice actor Vincent Tong) and music (Where I am from by Topher Mohr and Alex Elena from the YouTube audio library).
